Holiday reading
Last weekend I went to C
anty's Bookshop in Fyshwick and bought up some holiday reading. It was my first vist to this second-hand shop but I promise you I will be back! The kids were with me so it was a lightening visit. I'll admit there's a bit of a chick lit/light holiday bent. I'll actually be reading the 3rd book in the Millenium series, I'm just finishing book 2 now. If anyone likes this series I'd recommend Henning Mankel, another Swedish crime writer. But I digress. My reading is Stephen Fry's autobiography (1997) - will I get too annoyed imagining his plummy accent? Monica McInerny the Faraway Girls - have never read her books before but know they're popular. Hope not too Maeve Binchy. And finally Philippa Gregory, historial fiction The Constant Princess, about King Henry VIII's first wife Katherine. Looking forward to that one. So, that should get me to Alice Springs!
